June 29- Week 2/Day 2 Musical instuments, Typography and Collage

Our second day started with some Typography on tracing paper followed by an "instrumental" warm up including a bass, a clarinet, drums, ukulele... Drawings were made on music sheet and backgrounds colored.






Break at the Lake: too beautiful to be missed. Caroline's delicious banana bread was devoured quickly. 




Back to work, with a large collage, inspired by Picasso, including newspaper, colored paper, typography, and a musical instrument, samples below.
Tomorrow, Matisse, hand cut paper collage and side walk chalk of a large Matisse painting. Please come to the back door around 12 that's where the ephemeral painting will be.

June 28th- Week 2/Day 1 Sketchbooks, blind contour....

10 new smiles at our camp plus Kelly and Ava! Caroline and I could not be happier.
The week starts with the making of... the sketchbooks, this time covered with collage, images that relates to them and typography, 2/3 letters of their initials, definitely a different look than last week. A few samples below

June 24- Day 4 Wire Sculptures with Thea and Nina



















Our last day of the week, we started with some quick volume drawings of people and animals, in order to understand the body, movement, proportions...








































































 





after some explanations by Thea, they started making a wire body with a cutout head and accessories










a few minutes later here we have our celebrities ready!
