After a warm up with contour drawing of every day objects in their sketchbooks (fork, scissors, cups, whisks etc) and practicing a few french words, the kids chose one object and did 10 quick (30s) drawings of the object, each time from a different angle. The negative space of the page was then colored with watercolor.

and many more that are drying....Tomorrow they will learn about, plein air sketching and journaling, around Lake Calhoun!
