June 30- Week 2/Day 3 MATISSE

After a little bio of Matisse, the day started with some upside down warm ups, mostly of Matisse portraits.

 

 

 

A painting of Matisse was cut in 12 pieces and they each had a B&W version to reproduce, trying to use various shades of gray and black.

 

Snack time at the Lake with some acrobatics.... and back to work on the same piece, this time in color and cut out paper, just like Matisse!

 
For the first time even the fastest ones did not have time to finish their work, we'll continue tomorrow before getting to a sidewalk chalk version and moving to self portrait puppets. We will serve some French  sablés au citron, so please come by around 11.45 and share with us. Merci et à demain.
